Jessica L. Yates, Esq.
Jessica L. Yates, Esq. is an accomplished attorney who has advocated for families and vulnerable children in courtrooms throughout our community for the past seven years. Jessica believes that when we invest our best in children and families, not only can we heal one family but we can heal our community, our state, and our nation.
Jessica has successfully litigated and won countless legal disputes with positive results such as amicable dissolutions of marriage, establishing parental rights for unmarried parents, securing adoptions for stepparents, successful reunifications that do not reopen, securing adoptions for “unadoptable” children, and litigated contentious termination of parental rights cases.
Jessica works collaboratively with all system stakeholders fluidly encouraging inclusion, communication, and problem-solving. She presently serves on the Children’s Issues Committee of the Florida Bar Family Law section where she has the opportunity to advance legislation that is beneficial to families. Jessica is an advocate of adoption and has published “A Case for Adoption: Embracing the World’s Children as our Children” in 2019.
Jessica was recognized as one of the Florida Legal Trend’s Legal Elite 2017.
Jessica holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami.
